Not to get too tactical...

Fliers, Oh My!
Hey folks, it's been a bit since I have posted, but I assure you many more posts are on the way. Currently, I'm working hard on a couple of new projects. Pictures will be posted soon! In the meantime, here are some shots of my Blood Angel air force! The storm talon is a great air-to-air accessory under an allied force, and is a lot of fun when in play.
Do drop pods count?
I guess drop pods are a sort of air force model, too. Here's one with a few devastators disembarking to wreak havoc on enemy formations.

A few special characters
I thought it would be cool to use this update to show off a few 'special' characters from the BA army. First, is a sanguinary kit-bash with a combi-melta. No one likes seeing more melta on a battlefield.
Next is a librarian kit-bash and green-stuff conversion mixed with Dark Angels bits. The banner on this guy, and the next guy, is my take of the old 2nd edition back banners from librarians and sanguinaries. Check out the old Angels of Death codex for more.
The last figure is my 'veteran' sanguinary priest. He's in throwback colors to the old apothecaries, and has that old back banner to boot.

The Death Company!
Every Blood Angel knows that going mad is just part of the game. The good folks that make up the Death Company, are nothing more than hard-working Blood Angels who are just needing a nice vacation.
Atop the list of those needing some much-needed rest, is our good friend Captain Tycho.
Captain Tycho
I had a lot of fun making a custom version of this guy, the regular one just seemed too immobile and stoic.
Using a fair bit of green-stuff, and a lot of replacement parts, this guy came together rather quickly.
I'm a big fan of the new Grey Knights termies, and all the lovely bits they have to offer in the way of seals and banners and what-not.
Moriar, the Chosen
Back in the old days, GW had some rules for this guy. He was basically a walking pile of destruction.
I think it would be great if they took the time to bring back some of the old rules for models like these.
Death Company 'dreads are great and all, but the Blood Angels deserve a powerhouse sarcophagus of doom waltzing around the battlefield and tearing the heads off hapless minions of chaos.
The green stuff work on him is relatively minimal, but I did want to take a lot of time on the banner work. It was a little painful to keep painting the text correctly as it wrapped around the flowing pieces of cloth, but they came out all right.

Recently, I put this guy up on www.coolminiornot.com to get some feedback as well. Feel free to head over there and search for Moriar!
As soon as I figure out how to put up additional views of him, I will. Until then its just 'full frontal.'
Death Company Rhinos
Everyone who knows my painting knows I LOVE to paint banners and mural items on vehicles and special characters.
The Death Company rhinos are some of the cooler mural models in my collection, and always are pretty spiffy-looking on a scenic battlefield.
Most of the banner ideas I get are from old codices, or archaic Games Workshop publications.
Overall, my painting style is a little dated as well, but there needs to be more throwbacks in life, don't ya think?
Death Company Banner Bearers
Even the Death Company needs somebody holding their flag! While these guys still count as 'chainsword and bolt pistol' guys, I think they add something to the DC when they take the field.
In answer to many questions: Yes, the banner on the right is completely painted freehand.
Getting started...
Hello folks! I thought I could use a nice place on the web to showcase some of my favorite little toys...

Something tells me she doesn't have much appreciation for the wonderful world of miniature wargaming.
That being said, all she has to do is tolerate it!
Until next time... Deus Sanguinius!
